Fall 2008 Training Survey
Home

Your CELA Board is beginning to put together the Fall training conference. Last year we were in Payson, AZ, so this year we will meeting in the Phoenix area.

In planning the conference, we want to take into consideration your jurisdiction's budgetary issues, particularly for training, and would like to obtain some information from you. Would you please take a few minutes and answer the following questions, and then submit your response. We will tabulate all responses and then plan the conference based on the information provided.

1.

      No   Yes

2.

      No   Yes

3. In the past, the Fall conferences have been planned at a resort hotel where rooms were $80-$130, and the conference fee was approximately $200 (which included lunches, breaks, reception). With that in mind, how many people from your jurisdiction do you feel would participate in the conference, either for both days or one day?

4. If the results of this survey shows that training/travel monies are a real concern, would you and your fellow code professionals be better able to attend a two-day conference in the Phoenix area where the facility was rented, lunches were not provided, and we could cap the conference fee at $100 for both days? We would, of course, make sure the facility was located in an area with nearby restaurants and reasonable motel rates.

5. Taking into consideration that the AACE conference is in Portland, Oregon from October 28-31 this year and some of you may plan to attend, does October or November work better for you in terms of attending the CELA conference?
