additional dues/membership information.
AACE is converting its membership to a calendar year renewal structure. Active member dues renewals will remain $75 through 2008. However, AACE's Board of Directors has established a dues structure that will accommodate all pending renewals and expirations. The structure is as follows:
* Memberships that expire between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2008 will renew at a rate of $75 with an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2008.
* Memberships that expire between April 1 and June 30, 2008 will renew at the rate of $65 with an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2008.
* Memberships that expire between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2008 will renew at a rate of $60 with an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2008.
* Memberships that expire between Oct. 31 and Dec. 31, 2008 will renew at a rate of $130 with an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2009.
The new expiration dates will apply to all members. The renewal rates mentioned above apply to active members. This does not apply to lifetime members.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. Why is AACE changing its dues structure?
A common renewal date for all memberships will help AACE to streamline the processing of membership dues. It will also help us to better manage the membership database and reduce lapses in membership.
Q. Why are some people being charged $75 and others $130?
Members renewing at the $130 rate are paid through Dec. 31, 2009, and will not be invoiced again until after the first of January 2010. Those paying $75 will be receiving about a full year of membership benefits for 2008.
Q. Under the new structure, when do memberships expire?
Eventually, all memberships will expire on Dec. 31 of each year. Renewal payment will be due on Jan. 1 of each year.
